faqFrequently Asked Questions:
1. What are Sunday mornings like?
We have two blended (choir/orchestra/praise team) worship services at 9:15am and 10:45am, a contemporary (band) worship service at 9:15am, and Bible Fellowships available to all ages and walks of life. 2. What will happen when I visit for the first time?
If you are visiting for the first time, we will not embarrass you, have you stand up, or ask you to give money. We know that many people want to check out the church and “be anonymous” for a while—and that’s fine with us. Come in, enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, and see if this is the church for you. 3. What do I wear to attend your services?
You’ll find everything from casual clothes to business suits at our Sunday services. Come in what is comfortable for you, because First Redeemer is not about what you look like or what you wear. 4. Where are you located?
The directions page offer maps for you to use. 5. How can I meet others and get connected?
There are many ways to get involved. You can begin by attending our New Friends Coffee and the Discovery Class which will help you understand the church as a whole. Bible Fellowships are a great way to connect in a small group atmosphere. Check out our events on the, calendar, or facebook (collegiate or young singles) for times to meet people. In each of these, you can build friendships, learn more about the life of our church, and have the opportunity to grow in your faith. 6. Who is this ministry for?
The Collegiate & Young Singles Ministries are geared toward but not limited to adults between the ages of 18 – 30.
7. Where do my children go?
First Redeemer has excellent preschool and children's ministries. Greeters are just inside our entrances fifteen minutes before every service and will assist you in getting your children to their class or department (see Where do I go?). We offer nursery & Bible classes from bed babies up. Your children (ages 2-4 and grades kindergarten-5th) won't want to miss Preschool & Children's Worship (held simultaneously with our 11:00a.m. Sunday service--see our schedule for details). Sunday Bible Study classes are offered for all ages. 8. What about child security?
We take child security seriously at FRC. Each preschooler must be registered at the Preschool Welcome Desk before entering a Sunday School class. A security slip is given to the parent and must be presented at departure. Each parent/guardian receives a beeper to notify them of any problem that may occur if you don't have mobile phone texting. Additional security measures and personnel are on campus to ensure the safety of every attendee. |
